Foundations of the search function
For a first overview a simple search is enough. For that you fill in the first and/or birth name of the searched person or the birth or death place. The more data are filled in, the less “wrong” events are indicated. If the searched ancestor was inserted by another family researcher but with another way of writing, some “unspecified” results are indicated below the so called “exact” search results.
Detailled search
This function is still in work.
To get exact results the data cell of the search word, in which it shall be searched, must be specified. If you fill in “first name: Friedrich”, only the data sets are indicated that you really have saved as first name “Friedrich” and not other first names that have a birth name called “Friedrich”. Besides “first name” “birth name”, “birth place”, “birth date”, “death place” and “death date” can be used. Several data cells are separated by a semicolon (;).
Start automatic search
Because it does not make sense to fill all your ancestors into the search field one after another and wait for a result, there is the possebility for members to look automatically for overlappings in other family trees. For this purpose it is recommended to register all of your ancestors at Adamio. So there is a higher possibility of a same data set.
